A shot of this one while still a wip. The carvings are a couple taken from rock carvings. This one just didn't want to come out right for me. Strangely, I'd carve more material away and it'd look the same. So I'd carve more away. Same thing and it still didn't look right. Also, the horn would get all fuzzy looking and just looked like crap. So I finally decided that I'd sand the fuzziness off and polish it up. There's always somebody who loves an ugly duck, right? Lo and behold it was beautiful! So I cut amber for the center, set it on polished copper, then added some hematite cabochons and it sold that same weekend.
Thank you, although I feel that I should tell you that there are a couple of pics of it finished that are better. The white on the horn in this pic is actually the paper that I had the pattern drawn on! lol
